Klutech Founders Bobby Morales (CMO), and Manny Morales (CTO), and fellow team leaders, Bill Stein (COO), Randy Cruz (VP Network Operations) and John Pierce (VP Marketing) joined state and local elected officials in Orem, Utah today to offically open the company's largest and first fully custom-built data center. The Orem data center (internally identified as KT06-NOC) features leading energy-efficient technology and state-of-the-art server custering technology.
"This data center is built for speed, energy efficiency and computing capacity to run all our clients and their users no matter how far or wide them come," said Randy Cruz, VP of Network Operations. "The new computing capacity will enable us to offer rapid rendering of dynamically generated site pages and application interfaces, while achiving new standards for environmental responsibility in data center designs and operations only previously achived by Apple, Facebook and Google," said Manny Morales, CTO and Co-Founder.
The KT06-NOC data center which sits on a 60-acre parcel, is being built in two phases. The first half of the building, approx. 50,000 sqft, is complete. The second half, again approx 50,000 sqft, will be completed in 2017 and will have servers installed in line with demand.
"Over the course of the project, more than 1,300 people have worked on the site, an average of 250 workers a day. When completed, we have commited to hire 35 full-time employees to run and maintain the data center," said Bobby Morales, CMO and Co-Founder.
